Duties and responsibilities

·        Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). They prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

·        Developing and monitoring budgets, as well as forecasting financial performance based on market trends, economic indicators, and internal data.

·        Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements set forth by governing bodies such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

·        Assessing financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them. This includes monitoring credit risk, market risk, and operational risk

·        Establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, and prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions.

·        Coordinating with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews of financial records and processes.

·        Analyzing financial data to provide insights into the organization's performance, profitability, and areas for improvement.

·        Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.

·        Utilizing accounting software and financial systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.

·        Providing support to organization clients regarding their financial inquiries, account statements, and other related matters.

Qualification

·        A minimum of 3-years’ experience in a busy accounting field

·        University undergraduate preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or social science

·        Professional qualifications CPA or ACCA

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·        Proficient in all Microsoft applications.

·        A team player with leadership skills.
